Kid Rock Music Lab
The Detroit Historical Museum partnered Morley to design and build the Kid Rock Music Lab. The exhibit is intended to educate Detroit’s youth on the wide variety of musical talent that has originated from the city. Sponsored by Kid Rock, the project consisted of designing five over size wall graphics telling the story of each Detroit artist. The layering of tone-on-tone geometric angles and subtle color shifts leads viewers around the perimeter of the room. Music frequency lines evolving into the Detroit skyline add motion and energy into the graphic. Project also included reader rail graphics, standoff panels, display cases, carpet pattern layout and a mix-your-own music station. The space is intended to be educational, energetic and inspired by rock-and-roll.
